Succeeding in a Bad Economy

When times are tough, libraries are busy. People turn to us for books and DVDs, Internet access, and reading programs for themselves and their children. In 2008, the Library District increased circulation by 45% and made over 9,000 new library cards. Success is great, but it strains our resources. We need your support to help us keep our programs, collections, and facilities strong. Please consider making a gift today.

Besides a general donation, which can be used for programing, books, or audio materials, you can contribute your gift to a specific fund for a chosen purpose. Donations that can be used for new materials, furniture, technology and programming are also welcome! For further information regarding donations, please call (970) 625-4270. You may also download our donation form and return it to:

Garfield County Public Library Foundation

Rifle, CO 81650.

Thank you for helping the Foundation to support your Garfield County Libraries!

Tribute Collection
Tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to remember friends and family and to give the gift of books to others. A specifically inscribed Tribute Collection Bookplate is placed inside each book that is purchased with your donation.

Wills & Bequests
Making a will is the first step toward a wise financial plan for you and your family. It allows you, and not state law, to decide how your assets will be distributed. It is also a way for you to carry your commitment to organizations that are important to you beyond your lifetime.

How to Make a Bequest to the Library:
Consult a professional - your attorney, accountant or trust officer who will work with you to design a bequest that fits your situation and meets your goals.  Ask your consultant what tax benefits are allowed for your gift.  If you already have a will you may choose to amend it to include the Library.
