Our Library Catalog
The Garfield County Public Library District catalog is full of books, movies, CD's, DVD's, magazines and other materials for your use. We are also part of a consortium called Marmot. Marmot is a consortium of western slope libraries that have decided to share their collections.
Now when you request or place a "hold" on an item that is checked out or that we do not own, the system will check other Marmot-member libraries for the item. If another library has the item, it will be sent to the Garfield Library Branch that you select for you to pick up.
This way you do not have to wait for the Garfield Libraries' copy of the book to be returned. Just go to the catalog and where it says "Garfield County Public Library" use the drop down menu to select "Marmot Global" instead and then just proceed to search for the item and place a hold as usual
