You might notice a few changes in Garfield County Libraries' database holdings over the next few months. The State of Colorado has, in the past, subsidized database subscriptions for libraries. Recent state budget cuts have eliminated that funding, so we are forced to consolidate our database holdings. We want to provide the best service possible, so certain databases will no longer be carried so that we can continue to provide other ones. Three databases will not be renewed when their subscriptions run out; History Science Center will be removed sometime in July, Science Resource Center will be retired by October, and Teen Health and Wellness will be discontinued by November.

But don't despair! The good news is that our remaining holdings will still provide information in these three categories. For history and science research, click on the EBSCO Host link below, click on EBSCOhost Web, and scroll down to History Reference Center or Science Reference Center. Health and wellness resources are available through the links to Consumer Health Complete and MEDLINE Plus, both found below. Your friendly branch library staff is happy to assist you, too!
