Friends & Foundation
The Garfield County Public Library District has a Foundation that helps to support and advocate for the library. For more information click here. The Garfield Libraries also have friends groups that provide support and fundraising for the library. Each branch has their own friends group. Click here for more information. The friends of the library and the foundation work as advocates for the library. The American Library Association has an online advocacy resource center with a lot of helpful information, including the Library Advocate's Handbook if you are interested in information on advocating for your library. Friends of Libraries U.S.A. provides resources, services, and networking opportunities for Friends, Trustees, and Foundations across the country to increase and enhance their efforts on behalf of libraries of all types. |
