About TumbleBooks
TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books with unlimited remote access from the library and home. The collection includes animated books, educational games, Spanish and French books, plus the ability to navigate the entire site in other languages such as Spanish. TumbleBooks also contains Chapter Books for Young Adults.  The growing collection of children's classics contains Black Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Anne of Green Gables and much, much more. The TumbleReadable format, with its innovative text size slider, allows the reader to adjust to the text size which is right for them, making reading online fun and accessible. The TumbleBookLibrary also includes a collection of full length, unabridged, streaming audio books.

NEW! TumbleReadables!
These read-alongs highlight the sentences as they are being read, turn the page automatically, and offer the ability to follow along in three text sizes. They also include an innovative bookmarking feature and the ability to switch to manual controls to read at your own speed. The collection features eight categories containing nearly 125 read-along titles and an additional 100 large-print online titles: picture books; early readers; chapter books; middle school readers; Young Adult and teen novels; children's classics; classics; and Shakespeare. Read-alongs are great for emergent, struggling, and reluctant readers and are an excellent tool for ESL students. TumbleReadables are also fun for accomplished readers who are excited to follow along to the narration of their favorite books. Garfield County Libraries are excited about this new service and we hope you will enjoy the collection.

About StoryPlace
Children and their parents have for years enjoyed attending storytimes, checking out books and participating in a number of other educational, entertaining and participatory programs at the various locations of The Public Library of Charlotte Mecklenburg County. StoryPlace, an interactive web site, came about to provide children with the virtual experience of going to the library and participating in the same types of activities the library offers. In the summer of 1999, a team of Children's Librarians and Specialists got together with in-house web developers to begin development on this exciting site. In the Spring of 2000, StoryPlace premiered with it's first section, the Pre-School Library, completed. StoryPlace currently consists of two libraries, the Preschool Library and Elementary Library.
