Charlie 'The Noise Guy:' Eat My Dust

 A dirt bike, a bulldozer, a monster truck and a kid with a shovel- what do they all have in common? They are all noisy and like to play in the mud!

Charlie Williams is an underground comic and a vocal sound impressionist, better known as “The Noise Guy.” He is a mud-slingin,’ noise-makin’ kids comedian! He’ll take you on an audio off-road adventure to get down to the nitty gritty. You won’t believe your ears!

Ann Lincoln's Dino Girl Show

 Ann Lincoln will perform as a Kooky Cave Woman with help from a dinosaur and her specially trained dog!  Come and see some crazy comedy, awesome juggling, mysterious magic, and more.

Ann Lincoln's Dino Girl Show will be in the Carbondale Town Hall (511 Colorado Ave.) on July 9 at 10:30 am.

Paul Stanley: Mad Scientist

Crazy, mad scientist Paul Stanley will present an interactive, entertaining, and educational science program. His fascinating demonstrations will spark children's natural curiosity and imagination.

Paul Stanley: Mad Scientist will be at the Carbondale Town Hall (511 Colorado Ave.) on Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 am.

Friends of the Gordon Cooper Branch Library Meeting

The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Library meet once a month to discuss issues, programs, and volunteer opportunities at the library.  The May meeting will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 6 and will include a tour of the new Carbondale Branch Library.

Mr. Bones: Paleo-Puppeteer

Bring your kids to meet Tim Seeber, aka Mr. Bones, and his 8 foot tall dinosaur skeleton puppets. Participants can help put a dinosaur skeleton together and pet a tyrannosaurus on the nose.This life sized dinosaur may just swallow you whole!

Mr. Bones: Paleo-Puppeteer takes place at the Carbondale Town Hall at 511 Colorado Avenue on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 am.

Play-Ground Theatre Company: The Green Scene

 Introducing the world’s first organic superhero, SuperNatural. Born on Earth Day, raised on peace, love, granola, and a variety of trail mixes, SuperNatural is here to sage our planet! Can SuperNatural and his sidekick, Sprout use their positive energy to save the day from Toxics Waste's Pollution Potion? This show also highlights another swashbuckling adventure with recycling pirates, Captain Underwear and Long John Slipper. That’s not all, kids gets a chance to show off their knowledge in The Green Game Show.

Preview: Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Library are putting on the Spring Book Sale. Find great deals on used books. All proceeds help support the library. The book sale takes place Friday, April 19 through Saturday, April 27 and is open during regular library hours.

Tuesdays @ the Library: Movie Day

Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the fourth Tuesday of each month for popcorn and a movie! For Kids in Grades K-5.

Tuesdays @ the Library: Music and Game Day

 Want to write a song? Play a Game? Jam and Dance? Our resident musician/songwriter/Youth Services Librarian will lead songwriting activities and then hand out rhythm instruments so you can jam and dance along. We've also got card games, dominoes, checkers, chess, Uno, and more. Twister anyone?

Music and Game day is the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library.

Paws to Read

Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for PAWS to READ! Children in grades K-5 can sign up to read to the dogs for approximately 15 minutes. Featuring dogs and handlers/literacy specialists from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley.
