Meet Your Librarian: Melissa Colasinski
Melissa Colasinski was born in Danville, Illinois and spent most of her growing up years on the East Coast. As a kid she got to travel and live in many different states. The last place she moved to with her family was Arvada, which is how she ended up in Colorado. She landed on the Western Slope when her husband got a job in Glenwood Springs. Melissa now lives in Silt with her husband and two sons. She also has a grown daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. She’s a pet lover and the proud owner of three dogs and three fish tanks.
Her hobbies include creating beautiful cross stitch projects, crocheting, and reading. Melissa loves to sit outside in her swing surrounded by the gorgeous flowers her husband grows. When she is not sewing, reading, or taking care of her family, you can find Melissa enjoying her Kindle Fire.
Melissa worked at a Waldenbooks Store for a number of years, and there she developed a love for books. Melissa began working for the Library District in different capacities in 1996. She joined the circulation staff a few years back and loves being a part of the team and helping patrons.
Her favorite genre is romance; so if you need some advice on a good romance novel, Melissa is the one to ask. She has also become quite the expert with eReaders. If you need some assistance with your new eReader, call or stop by the Silt Branch Library and book some time with her. Just ask for Melissa, she would love to help you.
