Smashing Pumpkins have always brought something new to the airwaves among the myriad of bands that all sound the same. Grunge was taking over everywhere in the mid 90’s, but out of nowhere came Smashing Pumpkins, reintroducing the world of alternative music to the masses. So you may be wondering why I am talking about a band that seemed to have its shining moment more than 15 years ago; well, they recently dropped a new album.

Oceania, released in June of 2012, will please long time fans as well as capture a new audience. Their sound has defiantly grown with the generation it started with. A little gritty, a little soothing, and a little eclectic, this album is worth checking out. So log on to www.gcpld.org and place a hold on Oceania by Smashing Pumpkins.
