Story Art with the Aspen Art Museum
This month's Story Art will be related to The Big Read. Led by an instructor from the Aspen Art Museum, Story Art combines learning to read with art-making and activities that build visual literacy. This popular program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. The Big Read 2013 book is "The Grapes of Wrath," which is set in the Dust Bowl of the 1930's. Story Art programs are held on the second Tuesday of each month and are for children in grades K-5.
