A short history of the long, yet successful, battle to build a road that today is one of the most beautiful sites in all of America. Longtime local resident, Floyd Diemoz, will share stories of the struggle to build a four-lane road through Glenwood Canyon long before construction crews ever started work. This is the second installment of the Winter Lecture Series, which is jointly presented by the Frontier Historical Society and the Glenwood Springs Branch Library, and sponsored by Gary Hershoren and Ilene Harris The program is free, open to the public, and light refreshments are served.
