Imagine Your Story Writing Workshop

Day 1 • Tuesday, July 28
Think of how many stories you have told or lived in your lifetime. Have you ever felt an urge to put those memories on paper but have no idea where to begin? On Day 1 of Imagine Your Story, we will explore the symbiosis of art and writing to unlock the gates of memory. Whether you’ve taken a writing workshop before or this is your first brave attempt, this session will help you overcome the fear of putting pen to paper and flesh out the story waiting to be told.

Day 2 • Wednesday, July 29
In Day 2 we’ll consider what shape your story might take—will it be a poem, fiction, a non- fiction work? We’ll look at techniques in these various forms (metaphor, imagery, dialogue and plot structure) and have the opportunity to try them on for size.

Register and participate in one or both days via Zoom.
