Book description for "The Silent One"
COVID’s sixth wave proved insurmountable, and the United States is gone. Terrifying things are happening in the newborn nation of Astlen, previously Washington State. More terrifying still, no one is investigating or even talking about the nightly murders. But four teens have a theory. They’re out to reveal the truth and avenge the senseless killings occurring in their young country, saving Astlen and their futures in the process.

Nyala Honey is in 8th grade at Basalt Middle School and, when not writing, can be found making music on the drums and the violin, onstage as an actress and singer, and pitching on the softball field. She is also a member of the Associate Board of the nonprofit Plastic Free Restaurants, found at plasticfreerestaurants.org. Find her on the web at nyalahoney.com.
